Cat Vaccinations:

Ensuring a Healthy Future for Your Feline Friend

Welcome to The Vet Connect, where we prioritize the well-being of your beloved cats. Vaccinations are a crucial aspect of preventive care, safeguarding your feline companions from a range of illnesses. Here's a guide to the required vaccinations for cats and kittens, along with an optimal vaccination schedule.

Required Cat Vaccinations:

  1. Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR): Protects against upper respiratory infections.

  2. Calicivirus (C): Guards against respiratory and oral diseases.

  3. Panleukopenia (P): Prevents a highly contagious and potentially fatal viral disease.

  4. Feline Leukemia (FeLV): Recommended for outdoor cats to prevent a leukemia virus infection.

  5. Rabies: Essential for all cats, protecting against this deadly virus that can affect both animals and humans.

Vaccination Schedule:

  • Kittens:

    • First vaccination: 6-8 weeks (CRP or TRICAT Vaccine, Rabies)

    • Booster shots: Every 3-4 weeks until 16 weeks

  • Adult Cats:

    • Annual boosters for core vaccines (CRP or TRICAT Vaccine, Rabies Vaccine)

    • Bi-annual boosters for FeLV (if recommended)

Regular veterinary check-ups are essential to assess your cat's health and update their vaccination status accordingly. Our at-home vaccination service ensures a stress-free experience for your feline friends, allowing them to stay comfortable in their familiar surroundings.
